This volume, an international collection of studies from AIDS researchers on four continents, examines the attitudes, behavior, and drug use of prostitutes and other sex workers, assessing their levels of exposure to HIV and AIDS. The results of pioneering projects in the United States, Africa, Europe, and Australia are presented here for the first time along with strategies for preventing the further spread of AIDS.
